The fourth milestone of Demo2000 project reached - drilling and tripping optimization, and autocalibration of ECD and SPP. Demo2000 uses real-time updated, and autocalibrated digital twin, performing 10+ parallel dynamic simulations and providing advice on optimal parameters.
Autocalibration as a microservice, running with a live model, has been running throughout the period of drilling operations without any manual input. Kudos to our partners in the project Equinor, APPLY, Eavor Technologies Inc., PT Pertamina (Persero), SINTEF, The Research Council of Norway, and Odfjell Drilling.
For decades, energy companies have leveraged eDrilling's AI-based technologies to optimize well construction and drilling operations. 250+ wells have to this date successfully been drilled more efficiently, safer, without sidetracks, and with reduced carbon emissions. The Demo2000 program is our demonstration of how the same technology can be applied and add value to existing infrastructure.
By making this technology available for E&P companies globally, we address the cost savings needed for field life extension, and perhaps most important, the sustainability and carbon emission goals of the industry.
